Winter has well and truly arrived and with it no doubt, the desire to eat warm, nurturing, tasty meals. Below is a great recipe for a scrumptious dumpling broth.  Not only is it tasty it is hugely nutritious!

 

BEEF DUMPLING BROTH

Ingredients:

2 tbsp sliced ginger; 1 sliced red chilli, 2 cloves grated garlic, 1 tsp chilli flakes, ½ cup coriander leaves, 2 tbsp Spiral Foods Organic Tamari, juice ½ lime, 2 sliced spring onions, 1 tsp Carawari Toasted Sesame Oil, 8 XHC Foods Chicken Basil Dumplings, XHC Foods Wagu Tomato Dumplings, XHC Foods Tofu Vegetable Dumplings, or WHC Foods Pork Chilli Dumplings, 2 bok choi halved, 1 litre water. 2 tbsp Nutra Organics Beef Bone Broth Hearty Original, 1tbsp Organic Road Coconut Sugar.

Method:

Heat water, Nutra Organics Beef Bone broth, garlic, ginger, tamari, coconut sugar, lime, chilli and toasted sesame oil and simmer.  Add dumplings and bok choi and poach according to packet.  Serve in 2 bowls garnishing with spring onions.

 

MEXICAN BLACK BEAN SOUP

Ingredients:

1 chopped brown onion, 2 cloves crushed garlic, 1 chopped red capsicum, 1 can refried beans, 1 x Absolute Organic Black Beans 400g, 1 tbsp cumin, 1 tbsp ground coriander, 2 ½ tbsp Nutra Organics Beef Broth Garden herbs. Fresh coriander , avocado, sour cream, and pickled jalapenos to serve. Natural Road Corn Chips

Method:

In large saucepan fry onion, garlic, cumin and coriander. Add refried beans and rinse black beans. Add 2 ½ tbsp bone broth powder to 500ml water, then add to pot. Stir until simmering adding protein of choice, eg sliced chicken, beef or tofu (optional) Simmer until cooked Add capsicum.  To serve top with fresh coriander, avocado, sour cream, pickled jalapenos and corn chips
